As a decentralized application (DApp), a real DApp usually has the following four core characteristics:
1. Open source features:
The core code of the application must be open and transparent, and any developer can view and verify its implementation logic. The decentralized autonomy mechanism of DApp requires that key changes must go through the online community. Executed after consensus is reached by the majority of participants, open source code not only enhances the credibility of the system, but also facilitates external auditing and continuous optimization.
2. Decentralized architecture:
DApp is built based on blockchain or other distributed ledger technology, and data and operations do not rely on a single server or central organization. All information is stored in a distributed manner, effectively preventing security risks caused by central server failure or manipulation in traditional systems.
3. Encryption incentive mechanism:
To ensure network security and continuous operation, DApps usually encourage user participation through a token reward mechanism. For example, after node verifiers or miners complete data verification, they can receive a certain amount of digital currency in return, thus forming a sustainable economic ecosystem.
4. Consensus algorithm mechanism:
DApp must have a consensus mechanism (such as PoW, PoS, DPoS, etc.) to ensure the unity and credibility of data in the network. This mechanism ensures that all nodes reach a consensus on a certain state change and is the basis for supporting the operation of the entire decentralized system.
